Job Summary The Project Coordinator supports Project Managers and Superintendents throughout all phases of construction projects, including project startup, execution, monitoring, reporting, and closeout. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating project activities, maintaining project documentation, supporting project controls, and ensuring project objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Key Responsibilities Project Start-Up Assist with tendering activities and bid evaluations. Prepare and coordinate subcontract agreements and purchase orders. Assist with permit applications, utility applications, and site service arrangements. Perform quantity take-offs and cost tracking activities. Support development of project schedules and communication plans. Project Execution Coordinate and maintain project documentation including: Requests for Information (RFIs) Site Instructions (SIs) Submittals Change Requests (CRXs) Change Orders (COs) Track project progress against schedules and budgets. Assist with procurement and subcontractor coordination. Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes. Monitor action items and follow up with project stakeholders. Support implementation and maintenance of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) programs. Maintain accurate records and project filing systems. Assist in productivity tracking and project reporting. Project Close-Out Coordinate project inspections and deficiency management. Assist with owner training and turnover activities. Compile Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals. Track and close punch list items. Coordinate utility shutdowns and removal of temporary facilities. Ensure all project documentation is completed and archived. General Responsibilities Maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Construction practices. Promote a positive and collaborative work environment. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree, diploma, or two-year post-secondary certificate in: Construction Management Civil Engineering Technology Architectural Technology Construction Engineering Project Management Or a related construction discipline Experience Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role within the commercial, industrial, institutional, or civil construction industry. Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Procore is considered an asset. Experience with Last Planner System® and collaborative pull planning is considered an asset. Knowledge of construction contracts and project controls. Work Conditions Combination of office and construction site environments. Occasional travel to project sites may be required. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
