Clean Harbors Edmonton AB is looking for a Licensed/Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their safety conscious team! The ideal candidate will have their CVIP license to assist in the maintenance and repairs of heavy duty units including, but not limited to tractors, trailers, and loaders. This is a permanent full-time position, with a compressed work week, 2 shifts options; Monday-Thursday OR Tuesday - Friday, 12-hour shifts. Why work for Clean Harbors? Own part of Clean Harbors with our Employee Stock Purchase Plan Responsibilities Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner. Ensure that all equipment is properly secured prior to work/repairs (i.e. Uses chock blocks and jack stands). Perform inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on light & heavy-duty vehicles and various types of equipment. Conduct routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and performance. Complete and maintain warranty documentation. Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn, damaged, or defective components as required. Journeyperson's may mentor apprentices in the shop Complete and submit all associated paperwork as required for tracking Preventative Maintenance schedules. Ensure the shop area is kept clean, tidy, and free of hazards at all times. Qualifications Licensed/Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic. Must have a CVIP license. 3+ years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic. Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset. Previous experience quoting jobs preferred. Class 5 Driver’s License required. 40-years of sustainability in action. Requirements
Candidates must be a licensed Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic with a valid CVIP license and at least 3 years of relevant experience. A Class 5 Driver’s License is required, and experience with vacuum trucks is considered an asset.
