Clean Harbors Fort McMurray AB is looking for a Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their safety conscious team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance, inspections, and repairing of all company fleet. 11.5hours/day there is a 14 on/14 off rotation for commuters OR 7on/7off rotation for locals to Fort McMurray area. Responsibilities Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner. Complete and follow all Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs) Perform inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Perform routine and specific maintenance on company vehicles and equipment. Complete repair orders. Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor. Complete and maintain warranty and maintenance documentation. Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through regular housekeeping activities. Journeypersons may mentor apprentices Qualifications Licensed/Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic. 3+ years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic. Previous experience working with Hydraulics is an asset. Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset. Ability to use (J Pro) diagnostic software Class 5 Driver’s License required. 40-years of sustainability in action. Requirements
Candidates must be a licensed Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic with at least 3 years of experience. A Class 5 Driver’s License is required, and experience with hydraulics or vacuum trucks is considered an asset.
