WHAT YOU WILL DO: Using a strategic approach: plan and implement transport solutions to meet our clients' needs related to challenging shipments, such as oversized and/or overweight cargo. Establish a constructive relationship with the client Follow up on orders with various suppliers and relay the information to the client Verify documentation and ensure it complies with requirements Issue the necessary documentation in accordance with instructions and regulations Maintain certain reports (internal or external) Monitor shipments until they reach their destination and keep the client informed of developments Invoice according to the rates provided to the client Perform other tasks as defined by the immediate supervisor Respond to various quotation requests (from clients and/or international collaborators) Provide innovative solutions to the client(s) Respond to requests for proposals (RFQs) and various quotation requests Work as part of a team and support colleagues during vacations and absences WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Very strong customer service skills. Skills: Comfortable coordinating FCL, LCL, road and air Expertise in Breakbulk, RORO and chartering including oversize, hazardous, and heavy-lift cargo. Education and Experience: DEC (Québec province) or similar education level Credentials: 5-7 years in the transport industry including a minimum of one year of freight forwarding experience Attention to Detail. Ability to think outside the box. Proactive Thinking & Risk Mitigation. Focus on security and compliance. Ability to read, write and speak in English and French. Characteristics: Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs; Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents. Leadership, integrity, good judgment, negotiation skills, team spirit, creativity, conscientiousness, organization, autonomy, and strong communication are the key competencies sought.
