As Manager, Product Strategy and Business Development, your responsibilities include Create the Vision: Define and maintain a rolling 24-month+ product roadmap for certified and non-certified lines aligned with financial goals. R&D Interface: Act as the primary commercial lead for R&D, translating market needs into high-level requirements to guide technical development. Market Strategy: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery and present business cases to the leadership team. Lifecycle & Profitability: Own overall accountability for product success and financial models (pricing/margins) from introduction to retirement. Customer Engagement: Travel (20-30%) to represent CMC as a subject matter expert at customer sites and industry trade shows. Business Development: Identify and validate new market opportunities and collaborate with Sales to build the pipeline. Proposal Leadership: Lead the technical and strategic value proposition for major proposals. Go-to-Market: Shape product positioning and launch strategies that resonate with defense and commercial aerospace segments. How To Excel In This Role Bachelor in Computer or Electronic Engineering or related technical fields. (MBA, an asset). 8+ years of experience in Product Management or Strategy, or Technical Business Development Understanding of the Aerospace & Defense industry, in particular Avionics or Mission Software This role requires working with English-speaking clients, so bilingualism (French-English) is required. Strategic Thinker: You can see the "big picture" and translate it into actionable technical roadmaps. Customer-Centric: You are equally comfortable discussing ROI with executives and technical specs with engineers. Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electronic Engineering with 8+ years of experience in Product Management or Technical Business Development. Must have expertise in the Aerospace & Defense industry and be bilingual in French and English.
