Job Title: Business Analyst Key Skills: BA, GDS, Airline Domain Experience: 5-10 Years’ experience Location: Calgary, Canada We at Coforge are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst (BA) with strong expertise in the GDS product ecosystem to drive business and product initiatives. The candidate will play a critical role in translating business requirements into functional solutions, ensuring alignment between stakeholders, development teams, and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: Business Analysis & Documentation: Lead requirement gathering, analysis, and problem definition. Create, validate, and maintain detailed Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs). Develop user guides, release notes, and functional documentation. Ensure clarity, completeness, and traceability of requirements. Demonstrate strong knowledge including PNR (Passenger Name Record), Reservations & Ticketing, Ancillary services, Retailing and merchandising, Fare structures and pricing, and Loyalty programs. Identify product gaps and propose enhancements aligned with business needs. Agile/Scrum Methodology: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives). Own user story creation, backlog refinement, and estimation (sizing). Ensure user stories are well-defined, testable, and signed off. Provide continuous clarifications to the development team during sprints. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Project Managers, Marketing teams, Customers, and Cross-Value Teams (CVT). Act as a bridge between business and technical teams. Drive requirement discussions, prioritization, and expectation management. Product Lifecycle Management: Participate across the product lifecycle from sprint planning to go/no-go release decisions. Support product evolution through continuous feedback and improvement. Release Management: Contribute to release planning and promotion cycles. Ensure readiness through validation, defect tracking, and stakeholder alignment. Support go-live activities and post-release monitoring. Customer Engagement: Conduct product demos, walkthroughs, and customer sessions. Gather feedback and translate it into actionable product improvements. Build strong relationships with end users and stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the Airline/Travel domain. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with airline industry workflows and GDS systems. Understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle and release management. Exposure to customer-facing roles and product demonstrations. Qualifications: Analytical thinking, communication & collaboration, process orientation, stakeholder influence, and attention to detail are key competencies for this role.
