Sr DevOps Engineer (Remote) Important Disclaimers **Please note: A few of our roles may require in-person interviews at Cognizant offices or client locations, depending on project or client needs.** **Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future** In This Role, You Will Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using CloudBees CI/CD, CloudBees CD/RO, and pipeline orchestration platforms to enable automated, reliable, and scalable software delivery across multiple environments. Manage and enhance DevSecOps practices by integrating security scanning, vulnerability management, compliance validation, secrets management, and policy enforcement throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Develop, automate, and support cloud-native deployment solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, environment onboarding, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) implementation. Collaborate with development, QA, security, release management, and operations teams to streamline release processes, improve deployment efficiency, reduce lead times, and ensure successful application delivery. Implement and support GitOps, deployment orchestration, observability, monitoring, logging, incident management, and operational governance frameworks to improve platform reliability, resilience, and proactive issue resolution. Leverage Generative AI (GenAI) and Agentic AI solutions to accelerate DevOps operations, automate repetitive tasks, assist with root cause analysis, optimize deployment workflows, generate technical documentation, and enhance engineering productivity. Design and implement AI-enabled automation frameworks for intelligent release orchestration, deployment validation, self-healing operations, incident triage, and decision support across CI/CD and cloud platforms. Drive continuous improvement through automation, pipeline optimization, self-service enablement, process standardization, and adoption of best practices in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, and AI-driven operations. Troubleshoot complex deployment, integration, and infrastructure issues across CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, container platforms, and enterprise DevOps toolchains. Support tool upgrades, integrations, migrations, and operational enhancements involving CloudBees, source control platforms, artifact repositories, security tools, container platforms, cloud services, and AI-powered developer productivity tools. Establish operational metrics, dashboards, reporting, and governance processes to improve deployment visibility, audit readiness, release quality, platform health, and overall engineering effectiveness. Mentor and guide engineering teams on DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud-native technologies, automation strategies, GenAI adoption, Agentic AI implementation, and deployment best practices to drive organizational maturity and innovation Location: Canada Work model: Remote We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Salary And Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until 8/14/2026. The annual salary for this position is between $45K (CAD) – 91K(CAD) depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
