Material Handler- Mid

A Material Handler regularly performs routine to moderately advanced production activities to maintain the flow of work under limited supervision. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Transport, load, unload, and store steel coils in appropriate locations using various equipment (Forklift, Crane, etc.). Inspect and assist in packaging coils as needed and manage scrap. Completes required paperwork/system input for each product. Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills: * Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals); ability to read a tape measure. * Proficient in basic math and problem-solving skills. * Ability to follow and give instructions. * Basic problem-solving skills. * Solid communication skills. * Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment. * Ability to work closely with others in a team environment * Work authorization: Canada (Required) * High School or equivalent. Crane and Forklift certification required. Experience & Education: * High school or equivalent * Forklift and Crane Operator certification required. * Prior metals experience preferred. The Material Handler is responsible for transporting, loading, and unloading steel coils using heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes. They must also maintain accurate documentation, manage scrap, and ensure the warehouse environment remains clean and organized.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and hold valid forklift and crane operator certifications. Proficiency in basic math, English reading comprehension, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are required.
