Operations Summer Student

## **Position Summary** In this contract (summer) position, the Summer Student will be responsible for completing the day-to-day activities around the facility that include loading, adhering to policies, procedures and safety requirements and any other general duties. ## **Main Duties and Responsibilities** - Bulk loading and offloading. - Loading and unloading of pails, drums, and totes. - General housekeeping duties (sweeping, painting, etc.). - Adhering to all safety standards and requirements. - Performing any other duties as required. ## **Shift Information** Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm and be available to work overtime if required. ## **Required Qualifications** - Completion of high school diploma, along with a college diploma in-progress or completed. - Previous work experience is welcome, but not essential. Paid, in-house training is provided for this position. - A strong work either and an ability to work both autonomously and within a small team setting. - A reliable method of transportation to and from work in a timely manner. - Ability to work effectively, being responsible, resourceful, and autonomous. - Lastly, a good sense of humour will also be a great asset! ## **Working Conditions** - Rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights), weekends, and overtime as required - Seasonal schedule with potential temporary winter layoff - Facility environment requiring strict adherence to safety protocols ## **Physical Requirments** - Standing for extended periods - Lifting and handling materials - Loading/unloading trucks and performing hands-on labour tasks ## **About McAsphalt** McAsphalt Industries Limited, established in 1970, is a Canadian leader in the development, production, and distribution of asphaltic products.
