Medical Laboratory Technology Science Program (MLTS) Instructor (Part Time) Online or In-Person

Job Summary The College of New Caledonia is looking for a part time faculty member to teach in the Medical Laboratory Technology Science Program. Skills & Qualifications Medical Laboratory Technology Diploma, with current membership and certification with CSMLS ; preferred qualifications includes: a Bachelor’s Degree (or degree in progress) in a field related to medical laboratory technology education or Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science ( CSMLS ) Advanced Registered Technologist Certificate (or in progress) Five years of recent experience in the profession Teaching experience in medical laboratory technology education and diversity of employment experience, including administration and/or project work is preferred. Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills and be able to set priorities; Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with an ongoing interest in student success and life-long learning. Excellent communication skills are required Hiring criteria shall include professional qualifications, professional experience and contributions, teaching experience, community awareness and personal attributes so far as they are applicable to the job classification in question. You will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues. You will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities.

The instructor will teach in the Medical Laboratory Technology Science Program. They are expected to promote a positive work atmosphere and support the vision and goals of the College while fostering student success.

Candidates must have a Medical Laboratory Technology Diploma with current CSMLS certification and five years of recent professional experience. A Bachelor's degree or CSMLS Advanced Registered Technologist Certificate and prior teaching experience are preferred.
