General Labourer – Yard and Shop General Labourer – Yard and Shop Joliette, QC (Manufacturing) We are looking for a General Labourer – Yard and Shop to join our team at our Joliette branch! Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Repair Center Supervisor, the General Labourer – Yard and Shop is responsible for ensuring the proper operation of the yard, shop and facilities while providing support to technicians and mechanics. Maintain the yard, warehouse and shop in a clean, organized and safe condition. Handle and move equipment, parts and materials. Perform various general building and grounds maintenance tasks. Perform deliveries and pickups as required. Assist technicians with certain basic mechanical tasks. Perform visual inspections and simple preventive maintenance on equipment. Prepare equipment for repairs or maintenance work. Safely use various hand and power tools. Comply with workplace health and safety standards and procedures. Perform any other related duties in support of branch operations. Requirements Basic mechanical experience (automotive, industrial, agricultural or heavy equipment). Knowledge of the safe use of hand and power tools. Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy loads. Valid driver’s licence. Forklift experience (an asset). Strong organizational skills and attention to quality work. Resourcefulness, autonomy and team spirit. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong organization, attention to quality, resourcefulness, autonomy, teamwork, and the ability to work indoors and outdoors are required; forklift experience is an asset.
