Truck needs to be equipped with a power cord to charge the Trailer Tailgate. Responsibilities: Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across local routes and regional lanes. Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within British Columbia in a safe, timely, and professional manner Operate reefer equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards Transport temperature-controlled good in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs. Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required Core Requirements (All Driver Roles) Valid Class 1 driver's license Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within the past 3 months to 1 year) Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions Ability to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach Minimum 1-5 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience 6 months–2 years of Canada-wide driving experience Mountain driving experience required Strong knowledge of Vancouver and surrounding areas Ability to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required #WorkatCanadaCartage Why People Love Working at Canada Cartage Canada Cartage offers a supportive, team-oriented workplace built on collaboration and respect, with opportunities for career growth and development.
