Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Federal Government Account Executive to drive new business growth across the Government of Canada. This role is responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, identifying and influencing opportunities, and delivering technology solutions that help Federal organizations achieve their business objectives. The successful candidate will possess an established network of relationships within Federal Government departments and agencies, a proven track record of identifying and closing technology opportunities, and the ability to leverage existing customer and partner relationships to accelerate growth from day one. This is a hybrid Account Executive (AE) position based in Ottawa, ON. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who thrives on the challenges and excitement of building and expanding a business. Key Responsibilities: Develop and leverage strategic relationships within Federal Government departments and agencies at all levels to build trust, deliver value, and drive account growth. Utilize existing Federal Government relationships and proactively identify new business opportunities, expand account relationships, and manage the full customer journey from discovery through ongoing engagement. Engage decision-makers, influencers, and procurement stakeholders early in the buying cycle to identify, shape, and advance opportunities before formal procurements are released. Engage clients to understand their business and technical requirements, particularly in Cybersecurity, Networking, Hybrid Cloud, and Managed Services, and work with internal teams to translate these needs into compelling solutions and proposals. Lead RFQ, RFP, Standing Offer, and Supply Arrangement opportunities, including developing competitive strategies, win themes, and capture plans. Foster strong partnerships with OEM vendors to align technology solutions with the business and operational priorities of Federal Government organizations. Stay informed of Federal Government priorities, procurement strategies, and technology trends to provide strategic guidance to clients and identify emerging opportunities. Identify client challenges, articulate Compugen's value proposition, and develop high-impact solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes. Demonstrate exceptional teamwork by collaborating with cross-functional teams within Compugen and OEM partners to drive customer success and exceptional service delivery. Maintain a strong sales pipeline, consistently deliver accurate forecasts, and achieve or exceed sales targets. Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct. Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years of technology sales experience, including significant experience selling directly into the Canadian Federal Government. Proven network of relationships within Federal Government departments, agencies, procurement organizations, and industry partners. Demonstrated success generating net-new business opportunities through strategic account development and relationship management. Proven ability to develop, influence, and position opportunities prior to formal procurement activities. Expertise in selling complex IT solutions, particularly in Cybersecurity, Networking, Hybrid Cloud and Managed Services. Proven track record of leading and winning Federal Government RFQs, RFPs, Standing Offers, and Supply Arrangement opportunities. Strong initiative and competitive drive, with the ability to think strategically and tactically to develop, influence, and win complex Federal Government opportunities. Excellent presentation, communication, and proposal development skills. Deep understanding of the Canadian Federal Government landscape, including departmental priorities, procurement processes, and stakeholder communities. Bilingualism (English and French) is considered a strong asset. Must have or be eligible for a Level II (SECRET) Canadian Government Security Clearance. Requirements
Requires over 7 years of technology sales experience with a proven network within the Canadian Federal Government. Must possess expertise in selling complex IT solutions and be eligible for a Level II (SECRET) security clearance.
