Job summary
Con-Tech is currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused Shop/Yard Worker to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting daily construction operations by maintaining the yard, organizing materials and equipment, assisting with loading/unloading, and ensuring the shop and work areas remain clean and operational. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced construction environment and takes pride in being part of a strong team culture. Responsibilities Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shop and yard. Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment. Assist with inventaory control and material tracking. Prepare tools, equipment, and supplies for crews and projects. Perform basic equipment maintenance and inspections. Operate forklifts, telehandler, skid steers, or other yard equipment. Assist mechanics and field crews as required. Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies. Complete general labour duties and seasonal yard maintenance. Qualifications Previous construction, yard, or labour experience considered an asset. Valid driver's license required. 1A an asset. Forklift or equipment experience considered an asset. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
