ABOUT THE POSITION Double Zero is looking for a Dishwasher to fill out their team on a part-time permanent basis. It is essential that you enjoy a fast-paced work environment and feel comfortable working both alone, and/or within a team. WHO WE ARE WHAT WE OFFER * Competitive Hourly Wage * Gratuities * Duty meals * Extended health benefits after 90 days for employees working 28+ hours per week * 25% Company-wide food & beverage discount & access to frequent local business discounts/specials WHAT YOU'LL DO * Ensure a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots/pans, and cooking equipment is consistently available for kitchen and food service. * Sort, stack, and load dirty dishware into dish racks in an organized manner to maximize machine capacity and reduce breakage. * Operate dishwashing equipment in a safe and controlled manner. * Unload dishware, distributing and storing in designated storage areas. * Maintain ongoing communication with all departments affecting the kitchen. * Aid kitchen staff in food prep. * Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety is adhered to according to the restaurant’s standards. * Ensure that the dishwashing area and equipment is always maintained at the highest level of cleanliness. * Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner. * Aid in maintaining department objectives and ensure they are met and exceeded. * Perform other related ad-hoc duties as required. WHAT YOU HAVE * No previous experience required. * Strong organizational and time management skills required. * Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers. * WHMIS Certification is required but can be obtained once hired. * Food Safe Certification is required but can be obtained within 30 days of being hired. * Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations. * Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
