Reporting to the Registrar, the Assistant Registrar, Recruitment provides day-to-day management to the Student Recruitment team. This role is responsible for directing, evaluating, and evolving CUE’s domestic and international student recruitment strategies. By developing comprehensive recruitment plans and optimizing team performance, this position plays a critical role in achieving enrolment targets and articulating the value of a CUE education to external audiences. This is a temporary full-time role to end February 26, 2026 with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Supervise, motivate, and develop the Student Recruitment team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence. Provide expert leadership and recommendations regarding recruitment policies, program-specific initiatives, and tactical planning. Oversee the CUE Student Ambassador Program, managing the onboarding, training, and development of student volunteers. Strategy, Operations & Relationship Management Execute and maintain CUE’s Domestic and International Recruitment Strategies, including the management of international recruitment agents. Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with school districts, community organizations, and educational bodies to expand recruitment networks and diversify enrolment pipelines. Build and sustain strong partnerships with internal faculty and staff, as well as external stakeholders (high school counselors, career advisors, parents, and prospective students). Plan, coordinate, and execute major public university events, including Fall Open House, Counsellor Update, and Info Nights. Data, Marketing & Outreach Track, research, and utilize recruitment data to target specific prospective populations. Prepare regular reports highlighting successes, challenges, and market opportunities. Assist in creating customized promotional packages and provide input on the production of core marketing materials (e.g., Viewbooks, newsletters, tri-fold cards). Represent CUE at post-secondary fairs, career fairs, and high schools across Western Canada, requiring travel and irregular hours. Advising & Data Integrity Deliver accurate information on academic programs, careers, funding, and student life via 1-on-1 appointments, walk-ins, tours, and presentations. Maintain the absolute integrity, security, and confidentiality of prospective student and applicant records in compliance with institutional policies. Requirements A bachelor’s degree is required. An equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience may be considered. Minimum of two years of professional experience, ideally within post-secondary recruitment or admissions is required. A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Valid class 5 Drivers’ License and clean driving abstract with the ability to work flexible hours and travel as required. Ability to pass a standard criminal record check is required. Working Conditions Office setting; desk and prolonged screen time. May require standing for long periods. Transportation of materials at events. Ability to lift 50lbs. Regular driving, at times for extended periods of time and independent travel. Irregular hours including early morning, evening, and weekends. Requirements
