The successful candidate will gain experience in an office environment, building relationships and applying concepts learned in their academic studies. The Student Help in the President’s Office will benefit by getting extensive ‘hands-on’ experience working in a busy environment with dedicated academics and professionals. The successful candidate will report to the University Secretary. They will support the office and carry out tasks, including but not limited to tasks related to governance, records management, policy, committee work, and special events. Responsibilities Assist with tasks related to governance, records management, policy, and related tasks. This may include working with institutional records, academic material, committee agendas, minutes and supporting documentation, governance documentation, and policy and procedures materials. Assist with various events organized by the President’s Office. Be accountable for the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of the records retained and safeguard the security of such information. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Currently attending Concordia University of Edmonton. Preference will be given to candidates with office administration experience. Strong communication (verbal and written) and inter-personal skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently, collaboratively and on a team is essential. Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to pass a security clearance. Start And End Dates September 1, 2026-April 30, 2027, up to 17 hours per week. Pay Minimum $18.00/hour. Standard Hours Of Work 17 hours per week during the hours of Monday to Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some hours outside 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday will be required.
