Based at our permanent garage in Iqaluit, the candidate will have the opportunity to work on various machinery such as excavators, drills, cranes, shovels, bulldozers, off-road trucks, crushers, etc. TASK Ensure periodic preventive maintenance; Perform diagnostics to detect breakdowns and malfunctions; Evaluate the extent of the repairs to be carried out and plan the required time; Disassemble, repair, and reassemble defective parts; Test repaired equipment to ensure its works well; Perform welding, cutting, and/or drilling of metal as required to perform their duties; Be able to operate and move machinery or vehicles as needed; Identify replacement parts in parts books for ordering purposes. Issue recommendations for improvement or maintenance to optimize machinery; Work in collaboration with construction sites and thus participate in achieving objectives and respecting project deadlines. Requirements DEP in construction machinery mechanics (experience can compensate for lack of training); Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems; Minimum 5 years of experience in Similar duties; Compliant with occupational health and safety regulations; Good physical ability and manual dexterity.
