Job Summary: Support QC Lab operation activities by managing reference standards and reagents inventory, cleaning and drying glassware, managing inventory of lab consumables and lab waste, monitoring temperature-controlled areas in the lab, following GDP requirements to complete the required documentation for all assigned tasks, and performing other activities to help the continuation of QC testing in the lab without interruption. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Organizes and maintains critical laboratory supplies such as columns for HPLC and GC analysis, filters, vials, syringes, caps, and other consumables for analytical testing as per applicable methods and projects. * Manage inventory of columns for HPLC and GC analysis ensuring that a backup column is always available for critical QC tests. * Coordinate with buyers to ensure that critical QC reagents are replenished in a timely manner to support continuation of QC testing. * Manage the glassware cleaning, drying and storage in designated areas. If any glassware is damaged or excessively etched, follow the appropriate procedures to discard the glassware and immediately take action to replace the glassware. * Ensures that all reference standards and reagents are available for the analyst to execute testing. If any required material is found to be unavailable, expired or out of stock, immediately take action to replenish the material inventory. * Manage disposal of samples, reagents, glassware, biohazard waste, and general lab waste. Sort and organize the waste as per third-party disposal service provider’s instructions. Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely shipment of waste. * Routinely check lab waste containers throughout the lab to ensure waste containers are not overflowing and that lab waste is removed in a timely manner. * Ensure that PPE materials (disposable lab coats and safety glasses/goggles) are readily available for QC lab visitors and analysts. * Follow assigned procedures and GDP requirements to complete all necessary documentation for assigned tasks. * Complete other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: * A university degree or diploma in a science discipline (ex: Chemistry). Experience: * Prior experience in a GMP lab environment is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: * Must be organized and able to handle multiple work assignments. * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Good understanding of GMP and GDP requirements. * Works as an effective team member to meet departmental objectives. * Flexible with the ability to adapt, respond quickly and manage change in a fast-paced environment. Requirements
