The Role As a result of our robust growth, we are seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our Net Production team in our St. George location, and report to the Net Production Manager. The Net Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving, organizing, distributing, and shipping nets and materials to support daily production operations. This role ensures accurate inventory handling, adherence to shipping and safety SOPs, and maintains a clean, organized work environment. The position works closely with production and inventory teams and may assist with net repairs, splicing, and seasonal duties as required. Key Responsibilities: Main Functions Shipping/receiving of all materials to and from suppliers/customers Organize and verify that all deliveries have been properly placed in designated location as per White Hut layout and Yard layout. There are no exceptions for misplacement/mismanagement of NETS /Inventory. Follow proper procedures laid out in Shipping & Handling-White Hut SOP Follow proper procedures laid out in Shipping & Handling-Yard SOP Use safe lifting practices/equipment when loading, unloading, and handling materials Repairing Nets and Splicing Yard Functions Assist with receiving all products delivered to GMG, follow proper SOP when receiving and storing product as laid out in Shipping & Handling SOP. Supply materials daily to production as needed. Ensure net tub is emptied of nets that are ready to ship and then filled with nets that are needed for repair. Picking and staging orders for delivery Load/Unload of trucks (to include) Retail Store Bring back empty pallets back to Net Shop. Do not let accumulate behind Retail Store Perform weekly spot checks: White Hut & Yard Maintain cleanliness of facility and yard: Shipping/Receiving area White Hut & Net Yard Net Building & Parking Lot Work in cooperation with Inventory Coordinator Assist with inventory counts Net Shop Functions Repair/Alter nets when needed Splicing rope when needed Ensuring supplies are available for repairs: Twine, Rope, & Netting Winter Duties: Snow Removal, clean and salt doorways Other tasks as required. On Fridays, ensure that shift working the weekend has enough supplies to last the weekend before leaving for the day. Check with supervisor on duty for that weekend. Qualifications: Promote Health and Safety in the workplace Attend any scheduled training and production meetings, as needed. Basic computer skills Good written and oral communication Ability to work unsupervised and make independent decisions Good training skills Attention to detail Good judgement skills Initiative Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment Ability to work in an organized manner to meet goals Working Conditions: Varied working environments (indoor/outdoor).Occasional heavy lifting or pulling. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, occasional weekends when require dWork hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., additional hours as required.
