The Role As a result of our robust growth, we are adding a Deckhand/Bridge Watch to our team of professionals. Primary duties of this role include but are not limited to: * Perform watchkeeping duties as required * Perform fire and security rounds * Perform general maintenance and hygiene duties as directed, including painting, cleaning, and planned maintenance work * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements/Attributes: * Bridge Watch Rating Certificate of Competency (Transport Canada) to SCTW 95 * Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A1 * Valid Standard First Aid and CPR * WHMIS Certificate * Valid Passport with the ability to enter the US * Valid Transport Canada Marine Medical * Able to handle multiple tasks * Experience in a Canadian marine environment in bridge look-out duties and steering duties * Experience using deck machinery or equipment * A certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be considered an asset. * As per company policy, a clear result of a pre-employment criminal background check.
