Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts. Repair or replace worn, defective or broken parts. Assemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs. Test repaired equipment for proper performance. Accurately document all service and repair information. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow. Qualifications And Requirements What You’ll Bring to the Team Minimum of one year of related mechanical experience. Small Engine Technician, Motorcycle Technician or similar trade certificate (or equivalent work experience) is an asset. Experience working on 2 and/or 4-stroke engines. Experience working with equipment brands such as Stihl, Wacker, Milwaukee and Husqvarna would be an asset. Must have your own tools (or working towards building a complete toolset). Valid class G/5 driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points) is considered an asset. You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable with computers/technology (for filling out inspections, inventory management, etc.) Eagerness to continuously learn and stay up to date with emerging technology Available and willing to work overtime as needed Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
