Software Developer (Full Stack) — Early-Stage Startup We're small, scrappy, and every hire matters. No room for passengers. What we offer: - Real ownership and real impact — your code ships, your calls matter - $110k-150k - Benefits - Equity evaluated after 1 year - Remote - Edmonton / Calgary area What you'll do: - Ship production code, fast, with minimal hand-holding - Dig into data: SQL, spreadsheets, dashboards to inform product and business calls - Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) as a daily part of your workflow, not a novelty - Wear whatever hat the week requires - Deploy applied AI workflows by translating complex business requirements into modular agentic tasks, focusing on observability and reliability - Manage the integration of AI-assisted development tools within the production environment, ensuring formal verification and data cloaking protocols are maintained - Strong Typescript or Python skills (Both preferred) You should have: - Minimum 7 years experience - A track record of shipped, live code - GitHub, a live product, whatever proves it - Comfortable moving between "build the feature" and "analyze why it isn't working" - Fluency with AI-assisted development - you know when to trust it and when to override it - Startup instincts: bias to action, comfortable with ambiguity, no ego about doing unglamorous work - Comfortable talking to clients, assessing pain points and translating this to solutions - Excellent communication skills - Ability to learn quickly and shift Nice to have: - Experience in a 1–10 person startup - Basic product sense — you ask "should we build this" not just "how" Be prepared to send us something you've built and a one-line pitch on why you're a fit. :) Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial. Familiarity with data-intensive applications, financial or investment technology, and integrating third-party APIs is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
