Their platform combines machine learning, GIS integration, and enterprise analytics to help operators manage integrity data and make safer, smarter decisions. The Opportunity / Role Overview The Forward Deployed Engineer is the technical bridge between the platform and the pipeline operators who depend on it. This is a domain-first role: deep oil and gas pipeline integrity knowledge is the primary differentiator, not software engineering background. You'll work directly with operators, integrity engineers, and data teams to onboard them onto the platform, and you'll play a key role as the company brings on new major oil and gas clients over the coming months. What You'll Do Lead discovery sessions with customers, translating integrity programs and workflows into implementation plans Guide customers through migration and mapping of ILI datasets into the platform; validate and QA data loads Write and validate SQL scripts and ETL routines to load and reconcile pipeline integrity datasets Deliver on-site and remote training tailored to integrity engineers, GIS analysts, and operations teams What You Bring Hands-on experience with ILI (in-line inspection) data from vendors such as ROSEN, Baker Hughes, Applus+, or NDT Global 5+ years in a technical pipeline role — integrity engineer, pipeline data analyst, GIS specialist, or integrity management consultant Background at a software or SaaS company, in addition to pipeline domain experience, is a strong plus Working knowledge of SQL; strong communication skills and self-direction in a remote-first environment Nice to Have Pipeline GIS and data modeling experience (PODS, APDM, UPDM, Esri ArcGIS) Corrosion and cathodic protection (CP) data familiarity; regulatory exposure (49 CFR 192/195, ASME B31.8S, API 1160) Python scripting for data processing/ETL; Databricks or Azure Data Factory exposure This posting may involve the use of AI tools to assist in reviewing applications; final hiring decisions are made by humans.
