The Opportunity We are seeking a passionate Communication Lead to shape and amplify our company's voice in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. This role is critical to building awareness of our mission, engaging stakeholders, and advocating for improved neonatal care worldwide. You will be responsible for all external communications, digital presence, and public health advocacy initiatives, ensuring our life-saving innovations reach those who need them most. As our Communication Lead, you will craft compelling narratives that connect our technology with human impact, build relationships with media and healthcare communities, and establish Corvita Biomedical as a thought leader in neonatal health. Key Responsibilities Digital Presence & Content Strategy Manage and optimize our online presence including website content, social media channels, and digital marketing initiatives Develop and execute comprehensive content strategy aligned with business objectives Create engaging multimedia content including videos, infographics, and interactive materials Monitor analytics and adjust strategies to maximize engagement and reach Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints Public Health Advocacy & Thought Leadership Lead neonatal public health advocacy initiatives through strategic communication campaigns Write and publish bi-weekly posts featuring real-life stories from NICUs, breakthrough research, and global neonatal care realities Build relationships with healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and public health organizations Develop position papers and advocacy materials on critical issues in neonatal care Represent Corvita at healthcare conferences and public health forums Corporate Communications & Reporting Generate company reports, impact assessments, and stakeholder communications in collaboration with the Business Operations Lead Prepare executive presentations and investor communications Manage internal communications to ensure team alignment and engagement Develop crisis communication protocols and manage sensitive communications Coordinate with regulatory team on public-facing compliance communications Events & External Relations Lead communication strategy for major events including trade shows, conferences, and pitch competitions Prepare compelling pitch decks and presentation materials for various audiences Coordinate media relations including press releases, media kits, and journalist relationships Manage speaking engagements and thought leadership opportunities for executive team Develop partnerships with media outlets, influencers, and healthcare communication platforms Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Life Sciences, or related field Advanced degree in Science Communication or Public Health Communication considered a strong asset Professional Experience Proven experience in communications, preferably in life sciences, healthcare, or medical technology Demonstrated passion for science communication and public health advocacy Strong portfolio showcasing diverse communication projects and campaigns Experience managing social media platforms and digital content management systems Track record of successful media relations and earned media coverage Core Competencies Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate complex medical/technical concepts for diverse audiences Strong storytelling ability that connects technology with human impact Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and content management systems Experience with graphic design and multimedia content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) Data-driven mindset with ability to measure and optimize communication effectiveness Excellent project management skills with ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously Preferred Qualifications Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a significant asset Background in life sciences, nursing, or healthcare Knowledge of global health issues, particularly maternal and child health Familiarity with medical device marketing regulations and compliance Experience with grant writing and fundraising communications Video production and editing skills Understanding of SEO and digital marketing best practices What We Offer Impact & Purpose Use your communication skills to advance a mission that will save infant lives globally Shape the narrative around revolutionary neonatal care technology Lead public health advocacy that drives systemic change in healthcare Growth & Development Leadership opportunity with potential to build and lead a communications team Clear path to Chief Communications Officer or VP Marketing role as the company scales Exposure to all aspects of building a medical technology brand from inception Innovation & Autonomy Freedom to develop and implement creative communication strategies Direct collaboration with founders, medical advisors, and engineering team Opportunity to establish Corvita as a thought leader in global neonatal health Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive health and dental benefits package Flexible hybrid work arrangement Join Our Mission Every year, 15 million babies are born prematurely worldwide, and inadequate incubation technology contributes to millions of preventable deaths and disabilities.
