As Coulson Aviation continues to grow, we are looking for an Aerospace Designer to join our Design team in Port Alberni, BC. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to develop structural and mechanical systems that enhance aircraft performance, reliability, and operational capabilities. WHAT YOU’LL DO: * Design, plan, and integrate structural and mechanical systems using CATIA V5. * Support structural modifications associated with avionics and electrical upgrades. * Develop mechanical installations and repairs. * Prepare design documentation in accordance with applicable aerospace regulations and airworthiness standards. * Collaborate with avionics, electrical, and other teams to support aircraft modifications. * Prepare reports and technical data packages for design approval and certification. * Provide ongoing technical support for new and existing designs and products. * Carry out other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU’LL BRING: * A degree in Aerospace Engineering. * At least three years of aerospace design experience. * At least three years of experience using ENOVIA and CATIA V5. * Experience with wiring installations and avionics mounting. * Knowledge of structural clipping techniques and their effect on aircraft integrity. * Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, sheet-metal design, and machined components. * Knowledge of aircraft design inertias for loading. * Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
