The candidate will provide housekeeping, companionship and in home support to individuals, seniors and families who are experiencing aging, physical, mental or emotional disruptions by providing in-home support. A passion for people and for cleaning, a willingness to learn, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential in this role. Although hours are not guaranteed, this casual position does require the applicant to be available to take on 4 clients and/or 12 hours per week when work is available. This position is located in the West County area. The incumbent will be required to primarily work in Beaverlodge area. You may be required to work in Elmworth, Hythe, La Glace and surrounding areas in the County. Preference will be given to candidates who are currently residing in these areas. Qualifications Strong housekeeping and social skills The physical ability to undertake housekeeping duties (ability to clean for extended periods each shift), and to stand/walk/climb stairs Physical strength for lifting, and for heavier cleaning such as vacuuming Ability to travel on gravel roads in all road/weather conditions Ability to assist with / prepare meals; Willingness to provide planned and short notice coverage for staff members Ability to participate in meetings, workshops and training for professional development Ability to ensure the client's safety and comfort, which includes promoting the independence and mental well-being of the client in a respectful and compassionate manner Ability to transport clients for appointments, shopping, etc. Ability to maintain confidentiality, and professional boundaries Excellent written and oral communication A valid class 5 driver's license A reliable vehicle and cell phone to use for work purposes (mileage and cell phone reimbursement offered) A clear police information check, and vulnerable sector check Additional Information Closing date: This posting will close on September 27, 2026 at 11.59 pm MST.
