Your Opportunity: Must be able to cope with high noise levels during meal services. Operation of computerized cash registers and associated computer programs. Occasionally required to lift weights up to 25lbs. Good manual and visual dexterity. Significant periods of standing during the majority of shift. Exposure to various chemical compounds and cleaners, some that require special handling. Must be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible hours as workload demands. The position is also responsible for cleaning equipment, supplies and surfaces throughout the kitchen. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement. Additional Required Qualifications: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Must display excellent communication and selling skills. Must demonstrate the ability to do math calculations. Must display excellent public relations and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Display superior composure, tact and a pleasant disposition to patrons at all times. Display superior standards of accuracy at all times. Must have high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Must be honest and reliable. Preferred Qualifications: WHMIS. Food Safe. Previous food service experience in an institutional setting.

Requirements

Completion of Grade 10 or an equivalent is required, along with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Applicants must demonstrate strong communication, sales, math, interpersonal, cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability, and be able to work independently and as part of a team; WHMIS, Food Safe, and institutional food service experience are preferred.
