Description: Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. The LPN works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement. Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: COV AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Unit 52 Acute Stroke/Medicine Primary Location: Grey Nuns Community Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.65 Posting End Date: 31-AUG-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temporary Part Time Date Available: 10-SEP-2026 Temporary End Date: 31-JAN-2027 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 4 Shifts per cycle: 13 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $33.16 Maximum Salary: $43.42 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Additional Required Qualifications: One year recent Acute Stroke or Medicine experience. Preferred Qualifications: TORBSST certification.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of a Practical Nursing program with active registration with the CLHA and BLS Healthcare Provider certification. One year of recent experience in Acute Stroke or Medicine is required.
