The Role As Analyst, Real Assets Credit, you will focus on real estate debt transactions across North America and contribute to scaling the business. You will support fundamental research, underwriting and execution of new credit opportunities, as well as the management of existing portfolio investments, gaining exposure across traditional and niche real estate asset classes and the full investment lifecycle. The Team The Real Assets Credit group is a global credit investor across public and private markets in real estate, energy and resources, and infrastructure and renewables. With a current portfolio of C$12 billion, the team seeks opportunities to lend against high-quality real assets projects across major asset classes and global markets. Within the team, you will focus on North American real estate debt transactions and gain exposure to opportunities from early screening and thesis development through underwriting, investment committee preparation, closing, portfolio monitoring and investment exit. Accountabilities Support the diligence and execution of new investment opportunities by evaluating property, market, sponsor, financial, legal and environmental factors Compile industry, market and property-level data and conduct financial analysis to support investment decisions Develop and maintain financial models, perform valuation and cash flow analyses, review debt structures and underwriting parameters, and test assumptions and sensitivities Prepare and contribute to investment recommendation materials for internal investment committees, including investment thesis, key risks and mitigants, relative value, underwriting scenarios and structuring Support portfolio management for existing investments, including monitoring asset performance, liaising with borrowers and partners, reviewing servicer requests, assessing covenant compliance and updating valuations Contribute to a collaborative team culture by taking initiative, producing accurate, high-quality work, seeking feedback and continuously building investment judgement What You Bring An undergraduate degree or college diploma in a relevant field 1–3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, real estate, credit or equity investing, or a related field Strong research, analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills; a technical or quantitative background is an asset but not required Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to interpret findings and produce accurate, decision-oriented analysis Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information and present a clear investment view Intellectual curiosity, initiative, adaptability and attention to detail, with the ability to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative investment environment Willingness to travel and collaborate with colleagues across international offices and time zones You are motivated to contribute to something larger than yourself, approach complex challenges with rigor, and hold yourself to high standards in a collaborative, performance-driven environment.
