Requisition ID: 183339 Position Summary Kiewit is currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics for the Path2Zero project, located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.Position Requirements Valid Heavy Duty Off-Road Mechanic Journeyperson or Apprentice ticket Apprentices are encouraged to apply Working Foreman opportunites are available Minimum 5 years’ experience maintaining and repairing diverse types of equipment Minimum 5 years’ experience in Industrial construction Valid Driver’s License Clean Driver’s Abstract Compensation and Shift Details Base wage: $31.20 - $59.80 per hour as per CLAC Collective Agreement (Rate depends on the position) ITC Premium: $2.50 per hour on base hours (40 hours per week) Vacation pay: 6% on base hours (40 hours per week) Statutory holiday pay: 3.6% on base hours (40 hours per week) Night shift premium: $3.00 per hour if working nights Shifts run Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day; Friday, 8 hours Overtime and weekend work may be required Ability to work both day and night shifts is necessary Additional Information Candidates offered a position must successfully complete SureHire Drug, Alcohol, and 50lb Fitness to Work tests No travel and living-out expenses provided Due to the volume of applicants, only those meeting minimum qualifications will be contacted Project Information The Path2Zero project is a major clean energy initiative supporting the decarbonization of industrial operations in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing diverse types of industrial equipment at the project site. They will perform mechanical duties to support the construction and operational needs of the Path2Zero facility.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid Heavy Duty Off-Road Mechanic Journeyperson or Apprentice ticket and possess at least 5 years of experience in industrial construction. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass drug, alcohol, and fitness-to-work tests are mandatory.
