Computational Mathematician

Position: Computational Mathematics Expert Type: Contract Compensation: $80 - $100/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week Role Responsibilities Deliver detailed, real-world examples of utilizing AI coding agents for computational mathematics projects. Describe and document workflows where AI agents have been leveraged for complex technical problem-solving. Provide high-quality written and verbal explanations of challenges and project objectives. Evaluate and articulate the effectiveness of different AI agent tools for solving mathematical or coding problems. Submit concise reports highlighting project complexity and decision-making processes powered by AI agents. Contribute feedback on the practical integration and limitations of AI tools within computational mathematics domains. Requirements Current STEM professional with hands-on experience in computational mathematics and AI-driven coding workflows. Demonstrated proficiency in Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork for generating actionable code sequences. Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats. Track record of applying AI agents to advanced tasks such as debugging and architectural modification. Experience working remotely and managing deliverables independently.
