The Role Co-op students perform routine, detailed accounting services under direct supervision for various engagements including audits, reviews and compilations. Co-op students assist engagement teams by importing trail balances, setting up file sections and testing account balance and transactions for various assertions. They analyze and document internal controls and organizational structures. Co-op students may also be involved with bookkeeping assignments. What You Bring Co-op students are short term contract employees who are actively pursuing an undergraduate degree and are focused on meeting the requirements needed to enter the CPA program. Successful Co-op Students have/are: Self-motivated and detail-oriented Excellent communication and client service skills Analytical & problem solving skills Ability to prioritize workloads and meet strict deadlines Working knowledge of accounting standards, accounting and tax software such as Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks/Sage etc are also considered as asset.
