Job Summary: Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site. We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Sparwood, BC). 58.18/HR base rate plus premiums. 7x7 rotational shift, including day and night shifts Potential opportunities for 4x4 rotational schedules on days or nights, depending on operational requirements This position offers the opportunity to work on industry-leading equipment, support critical mining operations, and be part of a highly skilled team serving customers across the Elk Valley region. Will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools Responsibilities In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: Completes complex internal engine repairs Performs engine overhauls unassisted Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software Qualifications As a Field Service Technician based in Sparwood, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on mining equipment at customer mine sites throughout the Elk Valley. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service while working in a demanding field environment. Schedule Options: 7x7 rotational shift, including day and night shifts Potential opportunities for 4x4 rotational schedules on days or nights, depending on operational requirements This position offers the opportunity to work on industry-leading equipment, support critical mining operations, and be part of a highly skilled team serving customers across the Elk Valley region. -This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations and must meet the conditions of the company policy Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Basic level field service work experience Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products Customer service experience Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
