Job Summary: As part of a training or development program, learns and develops required skills in a manufacturing environment under direct guidance. Apprentice will be required to successfully complete and document specified classes and a minimum quantity of on the job training hours. Learns and understand the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician to join our Distribution business in Edmonton. You will make an impact in the following ways: * Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop * Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools * Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles * Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies * Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products * Maintain own tools RESPONSIBILITIES In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: * Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics * Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality * Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources. * Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level. * Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts. * Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
