Job summary

Are you a strategic sales professional who thrives on building strong customer partnerships and driving business growth? Our client is seeking a Key Account Manager to lead and grow relationships with key customers while identifying new opportunities to expand market presence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating across multiple business functions, developing long-term account strategies, and delivering innovative solutions that create value for both customers and the organization. As a trusted business partner, you'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance, and Supply Chain to develop customer-focused strategies that drive revenue, profitability, and sustainable growth. Some responsibilities include: Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales, revenue, and profitability goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders across R&D, marketing, purchasing, culinary, and supply chain teams. Lead customer meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions. Identify opportunities to grow existing business while securing new product placements and new customer opportunities. Partner with internal cross-functional teams to develop and deliver innovative customer solutions. Collaborate with planning teams to develop accurate account forecasts. Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities. Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows. Resolve customer issues while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Utilize Salesforce and sales reporting tools to manage account activity and track performance. Some qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of account management or sales experience. Bakery or food industry experience is preferred. Proven experience working directly with executive-level customer contacts. Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights effectively. Experience managing multiple projects and customer priorities simultaneously.
