Job details
CXOwork is a premium fractional leadership and advisory platform that connects companies with battle‑tested operators — CROs, CPOs, CTOs, RevOps leaders, and domain experts who know how to fix what’s messy, build what’s missing, and accelerate what’s already working. We help founders, CEOs, and growth‑stage companies access top‑tier leadership without the cost or commitment of full‑time executives. The Business Development Manager plays a central role in expanding CXOwork’s reach, building executive relationships, and driving strategic revenue growth. Role Overview The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying high‑value opportunities, engaging CXO‑level stakeholders, and converting prospects into long‑term advisory and fractional leadership engagements. This role blends strategic thinking, consultative selling, and hands‑on execution — ideal for someone who thrives in a founder‑led, high‑velocity environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a BD strategy to grow CXOwork’s advisory and fractional leadership portfolio. Identify and prioritize target companies (startups, growth‑stage, PE‑backed, and transformation‑focused enterprises). Build strong relationships with CEOs, founders, and senior executives. Lead discovery conversations to understand leadership gaps, operational challenges, and growth needs. Present CXOwork’s value proposition clearly and confidently to executive buyers. Create tailored proposals and match clients with the right fractional leaders or advisors. Manage the full BD cycle — outreach, qualification, meetings, proposals, negotiation, and handoff. Maintain CRM discipline, pipeline forecasting, and activity tracking. Collaborate with marketing to refine ICPs, messaging, and outbound campaigns. Provide market intelligence to shape CXOwork’s GTM strategy and service offerings. Required Qualifications 4–8 years in Business Development, Sales, Partnerships, or Enterprise Account Management. Proven ability to sell advisory, consulting, SaaS, or leadership‑driven solutions. Strong executive presence and ability to communicate with CXO‑level stakeholders. Experience running structured BD cycles from outreach to close. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce). Strategic mindset with strong research and analytical skills.
