Due to continued growth and long-term succession planning, the firm is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant, CPA to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a public accounting professional who enjoys working closely with clients in a collaborative and supportive environment. The successful candidate will take on an important role within the firm, managing a diverse portfolio of clients while working closely with the partners and accounting team. Responsibilities Prepare compilation engagements, financial statements Prepare corporate, and personal income tax returns Prepare T4 and T5 information returns Manage and maintain a portfolio of owner-managed business clients Providing bookkeeping assistance to clients via Quickbooks Online Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and respond to accounting and tax-related inquiries Prepare year-end working papers and supporting documentation Ensure client engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule Collaborate with partners and the accounting team on a variety of client engagements Qualifications CPA designation required Several years of experience in a Canadian public accounting firm Strong experience preparing compilation engagement financial statements and corporate income tax returns Experience preparing personal tax returns Experience preparing trust income tax returns is considered an asset Experience preparing T3, T4, and T5 information returns is considered an asset Review engagement experience is considered an asset Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax principles Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills Ability to manage multiple client files while consistently meeting deadlines Software Experience Experience with the following software is preferred: CaseWare CaseView Taxprep QuickBooks Online Why Join?
