People at DASCH have access to recreational and life skills development. Our DASCHWorks program provides support and opportunities for employment, financial stability, and independence. What you’ll do (the highlights) As a direct support professional, you will be part of a team and the go-to person for the people living in one of our community homes. What that looks like: Working a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends. Receiving support and guidance from your location supervisor. Making sure the environment is clean, safe, and comfortable. Providing personal hygiene, grocery shopping, housekeeping, meal preparation and socialization. Organizing the day and keeping accurate records are essential duties. Encouraging and supporting people at DASCH to engage in community activities based on their likes and abilities. Advocating for people at DASCH when needed, keeping their best interests in mind. Being a role model to people living at DASCH as you support their independence with respect and care. Your qualifications: Completed Grade 10 in Canada, or you have achieved Level 6 on the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment. A Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License (Intermediate Stage acceptable) Have a smart device with internet access. Experience with intellectual disabilities or a certificate in Disability and Community Support, Health Care Aide, or a related field is helpful. Requirements
