Interior Designer **Hybrid | Oakville, ON** **Maternity Leave Contract with Potential for Full-Time Opportunity** David Small Designs is looking for a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our team in a hybrid role based in Oakville, Ontario. This position is a maternity leave contract opportunity with the potential to transition into a full-time permanent role for the right candidate. We are seeking someone with 3–5 years of professional interior design experience (excluding co-op placements), who is passionate about residential design, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Participate in client meetings and ongoing client communication - Assist with concept development and presentation preparation - Source and select finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and materials - Prepare drawings, detailing packages, and project coordination documents - Conduct product research and showroom visits - Attend shopping excursions and site visits with clients - Manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously - Collaborate closely with the design team throughout all project phases Qualifications - 3–5 years of interior design experience (excluding co-op placements) - Strong knowledge of products, materials, finishes, and fixtures - Experience in residential interior design - Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and collaboratively - Strong attention to detail and time management skills Software Requirements - AutoCAD - SketchUp - Adobe Creative Suite (preferred) This is a hybrid position offering flexibility, exposure to high-end residential projects, and the opportunity to grow within an established and creative design studio.
