Job Description As an Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects related to shipbuilding, ship repair, and naval modernization. Depending on your field of study, skills, and organizational needs, you may be assigned to various departments, including Engineering, Procurement, Information Technology, Production, Industrialization, Planning, Estimating, Quality, or Maintenance. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyze needs, gather and structure information, participate in solution development, and support project execution. This internship will allow you to apply your academic knowledge, develop your expertise, and gain firsthand exposure to the operational realities of a shipyard environment. Depending on the department and the nature of the assignment, you may be involved in: Gathering and analyzing technical or operational information from various stakeholders; Participating in the planning, coordination, and monitoring of activities or projects; Analyzing drawings, specifications, data, processes, work methods, or operational requirements; Preparing, updating, and organizing technical documentation, including procedures, work instructions, reports, work plans, tracking tools, and reference data; Participating in the research, evaluation, or implementation of technical, digital, or operational solutions; Supporting the analysis of resource, material, equipment, system, or service requirements; Conducting surveys, validations, tests, measurements, or observations on-site or across various areas of the business; Collaborating with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Information Technology, Quality, Health and Safety, Maintenance, and other organizational functions; Participating in identifying and resolving technical or operational issues; Contributing to tracking project progress and identifying variances or required adjustments; Recommending improvements to processes, tools, work methods, or existing systems; Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and the standardization of practices. Qualifications Are currently enrolled in a university program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Demonstrate curiosity, attention to detail, autonomy, and strong analytical skills; Have strong problem-solving and synthesis abilities; Possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills; Are able to manage multiple activities or projects simultaneously; Enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams; Have strong communication and writing skills; Are adaptable and eager to learn in a hands-on, dynamic environment; Are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite; Have a functional knowledge of both French and English, including the ability to consult technical documentation in both languages. Internship opportunities are available to students who are currently enrolled in an academic program. The work experience must meet the requirements of the student's program of study, and the internship must be recognized by the educational institution. The selected candidate will also be required to successfully complete the security screening process and obtain the security clearance required under the Government of Canada’s Contract Security Program. Requirements

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a university program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with the internship recognized by their educational institution and meeting program requirements. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, be proficient with Microsoft Office, have functional French and English, and be able to obtain the required security clearance.
