Job Description As the Superintendent Quality Control, you provide frontline leadership of quality control activities across new build and repair projects and you are accountable for ensuring that all fabrication, assembly, outfitting, coating, and repairs work conforms to approved drawings, technical specifications, classification society rules, regulatory requirements, and contractual quality standards. This role provides functional support to project quality control leads, directing a team of QC Inspectors to execute the Inspection and Test Plan to deliver objective quality evidence. More specifically, you will: Direct supervision of Quality Control inspectors across disciplines: welding/NDT, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and coating. Develop and lead the inspectors’ competency and certification NDT program (SNT-TC-1A) and maintain a current skills matrix. Manage subcontractors and agencies supporting the quality control department. Ensure compliance with contractual and classification society quality requirements. Support projects Quality Control Lead for the execution of the Inspection and Test Plan. Conduct verification at various production stages, including welding, assembly, outfitting, and final testing. Perform trend and root-cause analysis to reduce rework, scrap, and defect recurrence based on inspection fails and coordinate a SME team to support production in their resolution. Support the preparation of final quality documents (OQE) and certification packages required for vessel delivery. Coordinate training needs on quality procedures, measurement techniques, and regulatory compliance for inspectors. Qualifications Degree/diploma in Welding, Mechanical, Naval, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent trade plus experience) Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipbuilding quality control and welding engineering. CWB/CSA W178.2 Level II/III or equivalent; NDE certifications (UT, RT, MT, PT) (consider an asset) Strong knowledge of ship repair/construction processes, materials, systems, and welding Familiarity with classification societies (ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s, etc.). Good knowledge of ISO standards and corporate quality management system (QMS). Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office software Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken. Fluency in English is required for this position, as the incumbent will interact with our English-speaking suppliers, stakeholders, and clients. Successful completion of the security screening process and obtainment of the required security clearance under the Federal Government’s Contract Security Program (minimum of five [5] years of residency in Canada, with no interruption of six [6] consecutive months). Requirements

Candidates must possess a degree or diploma in Welding, Mechanical, Naval, or Materials Engineering, or equivalent trade experience, with at least 5 years in shipbuilding quality control. Proficiency in English is required, along with strong knowledge of welding, NDT, and classification society standards.
