Work Location: Remote based in the Greater Toronto area Job Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Consistently deliver high-quality work, demonstrating ownership and accountability for deadlines, budgets and expected outcomes Cultivate, maintain and expand client relationships, providing data-based business and technical solutions - delivery of exceptional HVAC consulting services Work closely with interdisciplinary teams that include an array of stakeholders’ requests, concerns, and needs with a primary focus on client satisfaction and growth Apply HVAC mechanical engineering and building automation experience in the collection of building system performance data and offer expert insights and recommendations to enhance system efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness Provide best-in-class consulting solutions that include evaluating, monitoring, and advising on large commercial HVAC systems - chiller plants, DX and chilled water air handling systems, fan coils, VAV units and other HVAC equipment commonly used in commercial and public buildings as well as data centers Proactively anticipate client needs, identify risks/blockers to project success, and demonstrate a solution-oriented approach to challenging situations Provide project planning and oversight including creating proposals, action plans, progress monitoring, and regular client updates and communications Provide oversight for junior team members as part of overall team and project management Identify new opportunities within existing client environments as well as additional market opportunities Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices in mechanical engineering Additional contributions as assigned Education and Licensure Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience and training P.Eng Minimum Qualifications – Is this you? Requirements
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience and training, a P.Eng. designation, and at least eight years of relevant HVAC engineering, commissioning, analytics, optimization, or consulting experience. Candidates should have BMS experience, strong data analytics and visualization skills including Power BI or similar tools, project and client management capabilities, and authorization to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
