Our Ideal Candidate We are a fast-paced, highly motivated team of individuals, looking for a Production Supervisor to join our growing team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor accomplishes manufacturing employee results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures Position Responsibilities Able to supervises and coordinates the production activities of 15 -25 workers engaged in fabricating the catalytic mufflers and converters Have mechanical aptitude, considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the trade, good work history and good housekeeping habits Able to understand the fitting, assembling and welding processes using the designated jigs and fixtures Able to read complex technical drawing and have the experience and knowledge to work on prototypes Excellent attention to details and strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on time Have some knowledge about JIT (“Just in Time”) Manufacturing process.Must be adaptable to a changing work environment and competing demands Responsible for developing the production schedule in accordance to daily, weekly, monthly orders and shop working force. Prepares written documents such as performance evaluations and various reports, Write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge-based competencies required and safety practices and procedures. Instructs and trains employees and explains tasks clearly in assisting them in solving and diagnosing difficult manufacturing problems. Work well independently and within a team and has the ability to coordinate efforts with fellow co-workers Take every effort to achieve company’s goals/ objectives in service, productivity and inventory management Actively participate and support the company’s safety and security standards at all times conducts regular safety meetings comply and maintain housekeeping standards. Attend and participate in house meetings, company training sessions as required furthering the development of skills to meet the company’s objectives. Education Requirements: High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an asset Skills & Qualifications: 3-5 years of proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools Advanced skills in MS Office Organizational and leadership abilities Communication and interpersonal skills Self- motivated with a results-driven approach Problem Solving skills DCL International Inc is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
