Senior Estimator

This position is a full time, long term employment, consisting of approximately 50% estimating, 25% purchasing and 25% project management assistance. This is all done to provide clients with exceptional, high quality, worry free, home renovations. Character Qualities: Passionate about construction, mainly home renovations Integrity (honesty, trustworthy) Self-motivated, hard working, moves quick, has a "hop" in their step Organized and efficient Pays close attention to detail, is patient to do the job right, with high quality Encouraging and positive Humble - is confident in their strengths and weaknesses and can admit wrongs and accept responsibility when mistakes are made Teachable, can learn new tasks and skills quickly Responsibilities include: Working with spreadsheets and estimating software to efficiently produce accurate proposals Create and maintain estimate assemblies Job costing Coordinate with sales team members to accurately understand clients needs Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, clients, subtrades and suppliers Purchase construction materials and have them delivered to site or to the shop Qualifications: High level of experience in producing accurate construction estimates and proposals Minimum 5 years experience in residential and commercial renovations Knowledgeable in most areas of renovations, start to finish, including: framing, drywall, taping, painting, flooring, finishing, carpentry, siding, windows, roofing, fire alarm systems etc. A basic understanding in electrical and plumbing Key results areas: Meet with sales associates to properly understand scope of work in order to produce estimates and proposals for clients in an efficient, accurate and timely manner Create and maintain excellent relationships with sales team, designer, project managers, suppliers and sub contractors Maintain and monitor job costing to ensure accurate estimating and profit margins Obtain excellent prices on products and coordinate to have them available for field staff and sub contractors Assist in project management Wages: Holiday and Vacation pay Benefits and Health Spending Account Profit sharing ONLY CANDIDATES WHO APPLY WITH A COVER LETTER AND RESUME WILL BE CONSIDERED.
