About

Dementia Empowerment Network (DEN) believes people living with dementia should have a meaningful voice in shaping their communities. DEN connects and supports peer-led social groups for people living with dementia and memory changes. These groups create spaces where members can meet, share experiences, and support one another while remaining active and engaged in community life. As the number of people living with dementia continues to grow, many still face stigma, isolation, and limited opportunities for meaningful participation. DEN works to address this by strengthening connection, amplifying lived experience, and supporting groups to operate sustainably. Our work focuses on: • Building community – connecting peer-led dementia groups across communities • Amplifying lived experience – supporting the voices and leadership of people living with dementia • Providing practical support – sharing resources and tools that help groups start and grow We work alongside community partners, volunteers, and organizations committed to dementia inclusion and meaningful participation.
