Overview Design Roofing is a commercial roofing company focused on service and repair work. We don't spend our days bidding new builds. We solve problems on existing buildings for strata and commercial property managers across the Lower Mainland. We're looking for an estimator on a 6-month contract, full-time or part-time depending on the right person. What makes this role different This isn't a traditional roofing estimator job. You'll price the work that keeps buildings watertight: - Service calls and complex repairs - Penetrations, plus cellular equipment additions, removals and modifications - Deck replacements - Small roof replacements Every job is a little different, so you'll be reading the roof, the drawings and the scope, not just measuring squares. What you'll do - Visit sites to assess conditions and take measurements and photos - Review drawings, specs and consultant details - Build accurate estimates for labour, materials and equipment - Write clear quotes, scopes and exclusions for property managers and general contractors - Work with our field crews and office team to make sure jobs are priced to be built What you bring - Construction estimating experience (required) - Roofing estimating experience (a strong bonus) - Comfort on roofs and on active job sites - Strong attention to detail and clear written communication - Ability to manage several quotes at once and meet deadlines - Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle to get to work (company vehicle available for job sites) Nice to have - Knowledge of SBS, PMMA, single-ply or other low-slope systems - Familiarity with RCABC standards - Experience with telecom or rooftop equipment projects Details - 6-month contract, with potential to extend - Full-time or part-time, flexible for the right person

Requirements
