The Child and Youth Worker ensures that the activities being offered are designed to promote an inclusive program within the community. Job Title: Child & Youth Worker Location: Vancouver/Richmond Start Date: As soon as possible Term/Status: Casual Hourly Wage: $26.43 - $29.26 + 10.6% in lieu of benefits What We Offer: On-the-job training Professional development Community involvement An inclusive work environment Requirements/Education/Experience: Certificate or minimum of 1 year in related studies toward a degree such as Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Child Care, Social Sciences, or Education. Minimum 1 year direct experience with children and youth in a recreational setting. Strong interpersonal and team building skills. Formal training in the area of skill development and behavior management an asset. Requires physical strength, good balance, mobility and endurance for recreational activities. Criminal Record Clearance Medical Clearance Valid First Aid/CPR Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication Basic computer literacy Eligible to work in Canada This position requires union membership

Requirements
Candidates must have a certificate or a minimum of one year in related studies toward a degree in fields such as Therapeutic Recreation or Education, along with at least one year of direct experience with children and youth in a recreational setting. Additional requirements include strong interpersonal skills, physical capabilities, and clearances for criminal record and medical health.
