Job Title: IT Business Analyst – Junior Contract Duration: 12 months Location: Toronto, Canada About the Role We are seeking a motivated and analytical IT Business Analyst – Junior to support IT Asset Management (ITAM) Currency and End-of-Life (EOL) initiatives. The successful candidate will support governance, reporting, process improvement, documentation, and strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with stakeholders, analyzing information, improving business processes, and using MS tools to automate and enhance reporting and operational activities. The candidate should be a strong communicator, organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities. Key Responsibilities Governance & Stakeholder Support Support governance activities related to audit and regulatory examinations. Assist with strategic initiatives involving internal and external stakeholders. Build and maintain effective working relationships across multiple teams. Investigate issues, exercise sound judgment, and support timely resolution. Assist with compliance activities related to organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Process Improvement & Documentation Develop and maintain business processes, procedures, workflows, and documentation. Create and maintain end-user guides, templates, and supporting materials. Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, consistency, and automation. Support training, knowledge transfer, and transition of tools, processes, and templates. Document business requirements and translate them into practical solutions. Reporting & Analytics Produce management and executive-level reporting using Power BI and MS tools. Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support business decision-making. Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, issues, and actionable insights. Gather reporting requirements from stakeholders and translate them into analytical solutions. Support the optimization and scalability of reporting processes. Automation & Technical Support Support the automation of recurring business processes and reporting activities. Use MS 365 tools to improve operational efficiency. Assist with evaluating and implementing tools that streamline processes. Support automation and reporting improvements using technologies such as Power Automate, Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across IT Asset Management processes. Required Qualifications 2–7 years of relevant professional experience in Business Analysis, Reporting, Process Improvement, Business Operations, or a related area. Post-secondary education in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience using MS 365 tools, particularly: SharePoint Outlook Excel PowerPoint Experience supporting business process automation and process improvement initiatives. Ability to document business requirements, processes, procedures, and workflows. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with non-routine situations. Proactive, resourceful, and continuous-improvement mindset. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports. Experience with Python scripting and automation. Experience with MS Power Automate. Experience supporting IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes. Experience working with Currency, End-of-Life (EOL), technology lifecycle, or asset governance initiatives. Experience in financial services, banking, or other regulated environments.
