Senior Software Engineer

Title: Senior Software Developer / Senior Software Engineer Location: Toronto or Waterloo, ON Work Arrangement: Hybrid — 3 days/week Contract: 6 months, possible extension Role Summary We are seeking senior software engineers to design, develop and deliver scalable enterprise applications. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently on complex technical problems, contribute to architecture and design decisions, and collaborate across engineering, product and business teams. Responsibilities Design and develop complex software applications Build scalable backend services and APIs Participate in application architecture and technical design Develop microservices and integrations Troubleshoot complex production and application issues Analyze performance and improve application reliability Participate in code reviews and establish engineering best practices Develop automated tests and support CI/CD Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams Translate business requirements into technical solutions Mentor less-experienced developers Participate in technical investigations and proof-of-concepts Contribute to cloud modernization and digital transformation initiatives Support production applications and participate in incident resolution Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
